The best way to drive during load-shedding

Ah, load-shedding. First implemented in 2007, the thing that continues to make you scream, “Eish kom!”, leaves you feeling frustrated, especially when you have places to be, you’re stuck in grid-locked traffic or can’t see a thing.

No matter how many times you may complain or scream,unfortunately, we have to deal with load-shedding for a while, so why not take the “eish” part of your frustration and travel with ease with our Kia safety tips that we’re only too happy to share?

  1. Slow down and stop. Remember to treat traffic lights as a stop street, and not a yield if they are not working.

Navigation tools - use Google Maps or Waze to find a different route that may not be affected by load-shedding, ensuring you can arrive at your destination safely while saving time too.

Charge your phone - always keep your phone charged to ensure you can contact someone should there be an emergency

These are only a few of the most important tips we can give you. It’s always important to be vigilant, drive carefully and have emergency contacts on hand.  The last tip is to remain calm.
