More safety and features for updated Kia Sportage range.

Kia have revised their Sportage range, taking customer feedback into account and building on the success of the model that was first launched in September 2022.

Since launch the Sportage has been praised for its future-forward design, high-quality interior finishes and long list of standard features, as it embodies Kia’s reputation for quality and reliability.

The Sportage epitomises Kia’s Opposites United design philosophy with its dynamic and assertive road presence and an interior that is state of the art.

The Sportage has always been at the forefront of Kia’s pioneering DNA and a car of firsts for the brand which has allowed it to continue to garner favour amongst customers in a segment where they are spoilt for choice, while at the same time racking up a number of awards along the way.

In June this year, the South African Guild of Mobility Journalists declared it the best mid-size SUV launched this year by awarding it with the category win. Cars.co.za also nominated the Sportage CRDi EX as a finalist in their consumer awards while in November, Car magazine named it the Best Buy in the midsize SUV category of the publications Top 12 Best Buy Awards for 2024.

Increased levels of standard specification Occupant safety is prioritised across the Sportage line up thanks to a variety of active and passive safety features that include ABS with EBD and Electronic Stability Control, Hill-Start Assist Control, Downhill Brake Control and Trailer Stability Assist.

All Sportage models are also fitted with a total of six-airbags which includes a driver’s airbag, front passenger airbag, side airbags and side curtain airbags. Isofix child seat anchors are standard fare as is Smart Entry with Push Button Start and an electric parking brake with auto-hold functionality.

A variety of advanced driver assistance features that were previously only available on GT-Line derivatives are now being offered on all models. This means that all Sportage derivatives are now fitted with Lane Follow Assist, Lane Keeping Assist as well as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist.

All Sportage models are sold as standard with Kia’sindustry leading unlimited kilometre/five-year warranty which includes roadside assistance. In addition a pre-paid six-year/90 000km service plan is included to ensure customer peace of mind and predictability when it comes to vehicle maintenance,
