The Sportage range introduces a new 1.6L CRDi turbo diesel engine, exclusively powering the entry-level LX and EX models.
This Common Rail Direct injection diesel engine delivers 100kW @ 4000 r/min and 320N.m between 2,000 r/min and 2,250 r/min. Paired with the engine is a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission. Meanwhile, the existing 1.6L T-GDi continues to power the GT-Line, GT-Line Plus, and GT-Line S models. Each model is supported by a MacPherson strut front suspension system and a four-link rear suspension system.
Additionally, Kia’s midsize SUV now boasts more Advanced Driver Assistance Systems as standard across all models, including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Follow Assist, and Lane Keeping Assist.
